Position Overview & Priorities

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and amplifying our sales capabilities. The primary focus will be on accelerating sales by Outbound Prospecting and engaging with clients across the industry, with the ultimate aim of surpassing the predetermined business targets set for the BDR sales team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to CometChat's continued success by harnessing strategic sales initiatives.

Primary responsibility would be:

  • Ownership over hitting a combined qualified opportunities target alongside the team.
  • Assisting prospects in their evaluation of CometChat to convert opportunities into winning business.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, making adjustments as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with potential clients globally.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective negotiation and closing of deals.
  • Managing, mentoring,leading the BDR team and responsible for setting up outbound meetings.

Prioritized Experiences and Capabilities:

  • Expertise in outbound sales processes and methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading and motivating sales teams.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in sales and business development, with a focus on global markets.
  • Experience working for a product-based company or a SaaS company is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in selling globally, especially in the US and India markets.
  • Background as a Business Development Representative (BDR) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the B2B sales cycle from prospecting to closure.

Work Location:

We operate on a Hybrid model – in office 3 days a week
